About Us

OUR MISSION

The Lilabean Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research (LBF) was founded in 2011 to help save the lives of the 4,000 children a year who are diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer.

LBF looks to help identify and fund projects at the Brain Tumor Institute (BTI) at Children’s National Medical Center; and eventually at similar institutions around the country that are dedicated to finding more effective and less harmful therapies for pediatric brain cancer.

Additionally, LBF seeks innovative communication approaches to help raise awareness of the severity of pediatric brain cancer and the funds needed to sponsor critical research. Our hope is that LBF will have an extraordinary impact on the lives of the many beautiful children affected by this terrible disease.
